Join us for an author/artist talk with Leah Dorion!
This Digital Artist Talk will explore the children’s books of Leah Marie Dorion, an interdisciplinary Metis artist raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Leah will discuss her experiences in publishing books for children, including the digitizing process of her art, and invite participants to engage in a sketching activity. A teacher, painter, filmmaker and published writer, Leah views art as a spiritual expression. Leah’s work is influenced by traditional cultural teachings such as the medicine wheel and the sacred circle of life. For ages 8+. *Registration required.
