Join author and lawyer Silmy Abdullah for a talk about her debut collection of short stories, Home of the Floating Lily. Born in Bangladesh, she lived in Saudi Arabia before immigrating to Canada, Silmy reflects upon her diverse experiences as a South Asian Canadian Muslim woman. She writes primarily about this hyphenated existence and what it means to have multiple intersecting identities and having a fluid sense of home. Registration required.*
