Wellspring Tai Chi
Wednesday, September 09
2:00pm - 3:00pm
Practice gentle movements performed with the intention of connecting mind and body, in this session designed to cultivate relaxation, balance, and harmony.
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise that involves gentle movements, performed with the intention of connecting mind and body. An effective tool for individuals on wellness journeys, the short sequences of movement can be practiced daily for relaxation, balance, and harmony – all vital elements of health and wholeness.
Participants can expect the session to include a warm up using Qigong breathing exercises, gradually moving into a sequence of poses and standing movements that flow naturally, so the body is in constant fluid motion. Each week, participants practice previous poses they’ve
learned and new sequences are introduced. Movement is always slow and gentle with a focus on deep breathing and mindfulness. Each class culminates with an enriching visualization exercise, or a walking or standing meditation.
Please note: Participants will have to register as members with Wellspring Chinguacousy through their website. If you are having difficulty, please call (905) 792-6480 for assistance.
