Learn about the history and culture of tea as we discuss the influence of various factors on how we consume different types of tea today. Registration required.

From its origins in China thousands of years ago to the steaming cup of chai at your breakfast table, how did tea become a household staple around the world? How did the British colonial mission influence its spread across South Asia? Join us as we examine tea history and culture, and discuss the influence of factors like social gatherings, labour needs, and class distinctions on how we consume different types of tea today. 

Presented in partnership with the Royal Ontario Museum. Registration required.
