Learn about the different types of ornamentation on South Asian objects in the collections at ROM and what the designs signify. Registration required.

What is ornamentation? How is it different from “art” and what can we learn from the ornamentation that craftspeople added to objects like weapons and clothing? Learn about the different types of ornamentation on South Asian objects in the collections at ROM, and what the designs signify. Drawing exercises will deconstruct the various designs, and help us to better understand and appreciate the ornament from the past to today. 

Presented in partnership with the Royal Ontario Museum. Registration required.
