Join Brampton Library and HAGO for a sewing workshop, displays on menstrual health, and light refreshments. Celebrate sustainability and fight period poverty with us!
Join Brampton Library and Help A Girl Out (HAGO) for a meaningful afternoon at Chinguacousy Library on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This event highlights HAGO's mission to end period poverty through sustainable solutions and community engagement.
Participants will enjoy a hands-on sewing workshop where they’ll learn to create reusable menstrual pads, guided by skilled instructors. The workshop promotes sustainability by reducing landfill waste and ensuring consistent access to period products.
Educational displays will provide insight into menstrual health and HAGO’s impactful initiatives, including their efforts to mentor similar programs globally. Volunteers will be available to answer questions and share knowledge.
This event also celebrates HAGO’s partnership with the Brampton Library and acknowledges the Ontario Trillium Fund's generous support. Light refreshments will be served, ensuring a welcoming and library-friendly environment.
Whether you're looking to learn, create, or connect, this program offers a unique opportunity to make a difference while supporting a global movement for menstrual equity and environmental sustainability.
