Join us at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives for a discussion of the book The Exhibitionist by Charlotte Mendelson and a tour of PAMA’s exhibition In Love and in Art. Registration is required.
Literature and visual arts connect in this distinctive book club. Join Brampton Library and Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) for a discussion of the book The Exhibitionist, a darkly humorous family drama that explores themes of art, sacrifice, toxic family politics, queer desire, and personal freedom, by Charlotte Mendelson. The book discussion will be paired with a tour of the exhibition In Love and in Art: Jim Reid, Gina Rorai, Peggy Taylor Reid, and David Urban, which considers the artmaking of artists in intimate and long-term relationships, and questions whether that may have an impact on the trajectory of the individual artist’s practice.
This free program will take place at PAMA. Registration required.
Please pick up a copy of the book at the Four Corners Library at your earliest convenience.
