Literature and visual arts connect in this distinctive book club.
Literature and visual arts connect in this distinctive book club. Join Brampton Library and PAMA for a discussion of the book "Buffalo Is the New Buffalo" by Chelsea Vowel. Buffalo Is the New Buffalo is a book of short stories with a sci-fi twist, showcasing how Métis people could revitalize their traditions, languages, and connections to land through kinship and technological innovations. The book discussion will be paired with a tour of Lii Buflo: A Métis Way of Life, which tells the story of the relationship between the Métis and the buffalo, and the buffalo conservation efforts of Elk Island National Park.
This program will take place at PAMA. Free. Registration is required with Brampton Library.
